WEATHER CHANNEL  It is an AVEBIOM initiative designed to support companies and entities in accessing climate finance, carbon markets and decarbonization projects within the FESCO2 Climate Projects call (MITECO).

In its nine years of operation, more than 45 companies have registered over 510 installations through Canal Clima. Participating companies received a financial return for their bioenergy installations, and AVEBIOM handled the coordination, monitoring, and verification, simplifying management and reducing the technical and administrative burden for the companies.

There is currently no open call for applications. However, in December 2025, the following was published: Royal Decree 1151/2025, which updates the Carbon Fund for a Sustainable Economy. With this update, the Fund shifts its focus from primarily purchasing carbon credits for offsetting to becoming a financial instrument designed to support projects that reduce emissions at the source and increase carbon sinks, moving towards a carbon-negative approach.

A new call for proposals is expected to be published later this year, along with updated application procedures.
