The event will take place in Valladolid during the AGROVID fair and is an activity of the European Thematic Network on Rural Bioeconomy (thERBN – Thematic European Rural Bioeconomy Network, (funded by the Horizon Europe program).
The meeting is aimed at farmers, cooperatives, technicians and advisors interested in new ways of using pruning waste, beyond its traditional management.
The foundations of the Biocircular management of vineyard pruning waste, highlighting solutions adapted to small and medium scale, capable of generating added value in the territory itself.
The expert Claudio Mander will explain the potential of biochar as a tool to improve soil fertility, contribute to carbon sequestration and open new opportunities within the framework of European climate recognition schemes.
The consultant José Rebollo will delve deeper into the Uses of biochar as a building material, showcasing real-world applications such as its incorporation into mortars, concretes, and insulating materials.
The program will end with a interactive session in which attendees will be able to ask questions, share experiences and convey specific needs, reinforcing one of the central objectives of thERBN: to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and bring real, viable solutions aligned with the new European regulatory frameworks to the primary sector.
