This contract marks a new milestone in a key initiative for the industrial revitalization of the area following the closure of the old coal-fired power plant. La Robla Green combines firm renewable energy generation with biomass, biogenic CO₂ capture, green hydrogen production (200 MW of electrolyzers), and e-methanol synthesis (140,000 t/year), with a total investment of €850 million across 40 hectares.

The project is expected to generate around 1,600 jobs during construction and 200 direct jobs in operation, with priority given to local workers and groups affected by the energy transition.

The initiative obtained prior administrative authorization for construction in March 2025 and environmental authorization in April 2025..

The La Robla Green project It will mark a turning point in decarbonization.”,” says Yann Dumont, founding partner and CEO of REOLUM, which assures that incorporating DP CleanTech allows them to move forward with guarantees and maintain the committed schedule.

La Robla Green aims to become a leading renewable industrial hub in Europe based on the energy valorization of biomass and the production of green fuels.
