STEM Explorers of Castile and León It takes place during the 2025–2026 academic year in 37 educational centers, both urban and rural, from the nine provinces of Castile and León, and reaches 720 students in the 3rd grade of Primary Education. The program is based on a practical and innovative methodology that includes the delivery of three educational kits per student, one per term, designed to learn science and technology through play, inside and outside the classroom.

Business clusters play a key role in the development of the program, bringing schoolchildren and their families closer to the reality of businesses in the Community, the value of local industry and future career opportunities.

In the case of AVEBIOM, participation is geared towards showing how the bioenergy, Technological innovation and sustainability are part of a strategic sector with a growing demand for qualified talent.

The project STEM Explorers of Castile and León It is 100% funded by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Regional Government of Castile and León, which has allocated a total of 375,000 euros for its development through two grants: 300,000 euros to the ASTI Foundation y 75,000 euros to eight Innovative Business Groups (clusters) of the Community.

The initiative is part of the Talent Strategy of Castile and León 2031 and in the Comprehensive Talent Action Plan 2024–2027 as part of the actions to promote technological vocations from primary education.

With its participation, AVEBIOM wants to reinforce its commitment to education, innovation and cooperation between companies and educational centers, and contribute to building from today the capabilities that the bioenergy sector and industry of Castilla y León will need tomorrow.
