Our colleague Pablo Rodero Masdemont, who also holds the presidency of European Pellet Council (EPC), He has been re-elected as a member of the Board of Directors of Bioenergy Europe for a new term. His continued presence strengthens the influence and voice of the Spanish bioenergy sector in Europe, especially at a crucial time for consolidating the role of sustainable biomass in the energy transition.
“In this new two-year period, I hope to contribute my experience and knowledge of the sector in a particularly complex context, in which multiple regulations are being defined that will be key to ensuring that the development of bioenergy in Europe progresses in the best possible way.”, Rodero states.
Together with Pablo Rodero, they will be part of the new Board Christina Ravn (Danish Industry), Gerolf Bücheler (BBE – German Bioenergy Association), Laurent Sessa (CROBIOM – Croatian Biomass Association), Andrew Georgiou (US Industrial Pellet Association, USIPA) and Katarzyna Wilk (Drax Group).
The new Board of Directors combines continuity with new additions, including representatives from national associations, technology providers, and leading industries across Europe. Bioenergy Europe's priorities are to advance sustainable bioenergy, strengthen energy security, and accelerate industrial decarbonization in Europe.
