The group plans to invest €500,000 in the pellet plant to increase its production by 50% and €300,000 in the sawmill, in line with its growth plan. This was explained by the CEO of Biomass of Aneto, Christian Rodríguez, during the visit of the Minister of Industry, Competitiveness and Business Development of the Government of Aragon, Arturo Aliaga, to the Teruel Pellets plant on April 30.

These investments will also involve expanding the current workforce of the pellet factory by up to 9 people, from 12 employees; and creating another 6 jobs for the sawmill and forestry activities to supply raw materials.

According to the latest Map of Biofuels According to a report prepared by AVEBIOM in September 2021, Teruel Pellets manufactured approximately 3,500 tons of pellets in 2020. The plant produces pellets of ENplus quality® A1 and the group's forestry activity is PEFC certified, This guarantees the origin and sustainability of the wood used in the production processes.

The Biomasa del Aneto group began its activity in the province of Teruel with Mosqueruela Forestal in 2013, to which it added Teruel Pellets in 2018 and the Orihuela del Tremedal sawmill in 2021. The group currently consumes 100,000 tons of wood per year to produce wood chips, packaging wood, pellets and briquettes.

The rise in energy prices has increased production costs by 15%, although to date they have maintained the price of their products.
