Biomass in Your Home advances its journey until spring 2026 after completing the first phase of the 2025-2026 exercise

Biomasa en tu casa 2026

The exhibition continues after the positive outcome of the first phase of the 2025-2026 period, which took place between September and the end of 2025, during which the exhibition toured municipalities in Castilla y León, Galicia and Navarra, combining open days for the public with a specific program aimed at educational centers.

A positive initial assessment

During this first phase, Biomass in Your Home has received nearly 3,000 visitors, The study targeted both the general public and organized groups. The diverse profiles (families, senior citizens, municipal technicians, local officials, and students) confirm the interest in having clear and accessible information on renewable solutions to make decisions about domestic and collective heating.

The mobile format, set up in public spaces and adapted to small and medium-sized municipalities, has proven to be especially effective in generating proximity, facilitating dialogue and sparking interest in technologies that, in many cases, are already available in the local area.

The school campaign, a key element of the project

One of the pillars of this first phase has been the school campaign developed in Castilla y León during the month of September, in which they participated more than 1,100 students between the ages of 10 and 14, accompanied by teachers from different educational centers.

Through participatory workshops, activities on sustainable forest management, interactive games, and virtual reality experiences, students were able to learn firsthand what biomass is, how it is obtained, and its role in the energy transition and in environmental stewardship. The teachers' feedback has been very positive, highlighting both the suitability of the content to the educational level and the high level of interest shown by the students.

An effective tool for explaining biomass from a local perspective

The accumulated experience confirms that Biomass in Your Home works as an effective tool to explain, in a comprehensible and rigorous way, how biomass heating works today, what biofuels are used, how forest resources are managed and what opportunities solutions such as heat networks offer at the municipal level.

Direct contact with real equipment, models, and digital content helps to dismantle preconceived ideas and present biomass as a mature, efficient technology aligned with the objectives of decarbonization, rural development, and sustainable use of local resources.

Next stages of the journey

With an eye toward 2026, AVEBIOM will continue developing the project and expanding its territorial reach. The next phase, which will extend until spring, will consolidate the route through Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha, Galicia, Extremadura and Navarre, strengthening collaboration with city councils, educational centers and regional administrations interested in bringing the energy transition closer to the public.

The results of this first phase confirm that Biomass in Your Home fulfills its main objective: to bring bioenergy closer to people and facilitate informed decisions about renewable heating in homes, buildings and municipalities.

The exhibition features real biomass heating systems in operation, provided by companies associated with AVEBIOM: Manufacturers and suppliers of high-end pellet stoves —Bronpi Heating, Ecoforest, Edilkamin Ibérica, Gruppo Piazzetta, Palazzetti Lelio, Solzaima and Eider Biomasa—, of high-efficiency biomass boilers —Hargassner, BioCurve, Domusa, Herz, Ökofen, Pelletech, Perge and Fröling—, and companies that manufacture flue systems for smoke extraction —Convesa, Dinak and Practic—.
