The Spanish Biomass Association (AVEBIOM) represents the leading companies, technology centers, and institutions linked to bioenergy in Spain. Its mission is to support its members in generating new business opportunities, innovation, and visibility, positioning biomass as an essential renewable solution for the energy transition and the sustainable development of the country.

To promote the development of biomass and biogas within an innovative and sustainable bioenergy ecosystem, capable of generating opportunities for businesses, benefits for society, and real solutions to climate change. AVEBIOM aspires to be a key player in building a fairer, more competitive, and environmentally friendly energy future.

AVEBIOM's mission is to promote the development of biomass, biogas, and bioenergy in Spain, strengthening the competitiveness of its members and fostering the sustainable use of these resources. The association encourages innovation, sector collaboration, training, and institutional representation, and raises awareness of the strategic role of these energy sources in the energy transition and decarbonization.

Strategic objectives

AVEBIOM promotes innovation and digitalization in biomass, biogas, and bioenergy through high-impact R&D projects, strengthens the sector's representation at the national and international levels, and fosters collaboration among companies, research centers, and institutions. It also promotes training and talent attraction, improves the visibility and social acceptance of these renewable energies, and contributes to the economic and social development of Castile and León and Spain as a whole, in line with policies on sustainability, innovation, and industrial competitiveness.
