AVEBIOM, the national support entity for the SURE certification system, has promoted the drafting of the document: Risk Assessment of Sustainable Forest Biomass Production in Spain. The final document, once the changes resulting from the consultation have been processed, will be published in English on the SURE website. To facilitate consultation, an automatic translation of the draft into Spanish has been carried out.
The objective of the public consultation is to rigorously identify the risks associated with forest biomass production and to propose measures that ensure that biomass production is carried out in an environmentally friendly, socially just and economically viable manner.
All contributions will be valued to enrich the final document, which will serve as a key reference in the application of NETWORK III in Spain.
How to participate in the public consultation?
Interested parties may submit their contributions, comments, and suggestions until September 30, 2025. To do so, they must download the Excel file available at this link, and send it once it's covered to sure@avebiom.org
