The European Pellet Forum 2026 will bring together the main players in the European pellet sector in Verona.

European Pellet Forum 2027 Verona

The forum will be held in Veronafiere within the framework of the fair Progetto Fuoco, and is organized by AIEL and the European Pellet Council, with the support of Bioenergy Europe. The session will take place in the morning, from 9:00 to 13:00, and will combine market analysis, European policy and strategic debate on the future of pellets.

Market, regulation and supply chains at the heart of the debate

The program will address the main dynamics shaping the pellet market in Europe and globally. The day will begin with an analysis of current trends and future prospects in the European pellet market, followed by a specific session on the evolution of the Italian market.

One of the key sections will focus on global supply chains and the availability of raw materials, with presentations dedicated to Brazil's role as an international supplier, the situation of the sawmill and by-products market, and the impact that new European policies such as EUDR, RED III or the Ecodesign Regulation will have on the production and marketing of pellets.

What awaits the pellet industry

The forum will dedicate a significant portion of its program to analyzing the challenges facing the sector. These include combating intra-community VAT fraud and its effects on the supply chain, diversifying raw materials, adapting marketing to consumer expectations, and the debate surrounding new quality and sustainability labels.

These are issues of particular importance at a time when the sector is more subject than ever to regulatory scrutiny and there is a growing need for transparency, traceability and market confidence, areas in which EPC and the ENplus® system play a central role.

The resilience of pellet heating equipment

The final part of the day will focus on the pellet stove and boiler market, analyzing its recent performance in Europe and Italy and reflecting on the future of the equipment stock in a scenario of energy transition, electrification and defossilization of heating.

Following the final round table discussion, in which representatives of pellet producing and marketing companies will participate, the venue for the next edition of the European Pellet Forum, in 2027, will be announced.

Through Pablo Rodero, AVEBIOM holds the presidency of European Pellet Council until 2027, participating in the governance of the European pellet market and in the institutional representation of the sector in the main technical and regulatory debates that will mark its evolution in the coming years.
