ENplus® updates its standards to strengthen quality and clarity in pellet certification

The new versions of these standards reinforce the clarity, coherence and efficiency of the system, facilitating compliance with requirements by certified companies. Although the changes are minor, the entities have a three-month transition period and they must apply them before the January 1, 2026, official effective date.

Main new features of the ST 1001 standard

The document ENplus® ST 1001 incorporates more precise definitions Regarding the use of trademarks, producers, and the trade of bulk pellets. Among the most notable improvements:

  • Inclusion of specific requirements for multisite companies and clarifications on outsourcing agreements, especially with non-certified service providers.

  • Technical review of the calibration protocols for measuring equipment and the procedures for filling big bags and self-monitoring.

  • Simplifying product requirements For distributors who perform bagging, who will no longer be required to guarantee mechanical durability.

  • Clearer delivery documentation, with differentiated responsibilities between producers and distributors.

  • Update of the claims management procedures and of handling of reference samples, along with revised tables and visuals.

Improvements to the ST 1003 standard

The standard ENplus® ST 1003, For its part, it presents adjustments to the definitions and use of trademarks, especially to promote a uniform brand image and simpler communication internationally.
