Biochar has been a hot topic in both scientific and business circles lately. It's one of the various biochars that can be derived from biomass, primarily intended for specific technological, industrial, and environmental applications. Other forms include the well-known charcoal, which can be used domestically for heating, cooking, and barbecues, as well as in certain industrial applications; torrefied biomass; and hydrochar.
In this webinar organized by AVEBIOM, well-positioned companies and technology centers showcased the available, though sometimes little-known, technologies for obtaining different types of biochar; the formats and applications of each type of biochar; and the main aspects to consider when establishing new businesses: volumes, target markets, etc.
