The Baeza City Council will heat up the 'Old Stud Farm' Multi-Purpose Centre with olive pit. To that end, it is building a boiler room. to install the new biomass boiler and a silo, both soundproofed. The work also includes the installation of pipes inside the building and the pipes for hot water and other auxiliary elements.
The project is funded by Leader funds, through Rural Development Projects in Andalusia, with an investment of 158,826.79 euros, of which Leader finances 81,114.82 euros.
Furthermore, two public schools in La Carolina (Palacios Rubio and Navas de Tolosa) will heat their buildings with biomass.
In both cases, the intervention consisted of adapting the boiler room, including a biomass boiler; replacing the radiators and installing a biomass silo and an inertia tank.
According to Mayor Yolanda Reche, in this way the city council, which is responsible for the maintenance of the schools, guarantees an efficient and high-quality energy system that is environmentally friendly and helps to reduce electricity costs.
To carry out the works, the city council has turned to the grant program launched by IDAE through the Provincial Councils for projects that promote a low-carbon economy for local entities.
The intervention at CEIP Navas de Tolosa has involved an investment of 48,189 euros, of which 38,552 are subsidized, while at CEIP Palacios Rubio the investment has been 37,519 euros, of which 30,015 euros have been subsidized.
