Speakers from AENOR, UNE, CEDER-Ciemat, CARTIF, and AVEBIOM highlighted the importance of maintaining high quality standards and the need for companies to be well-informed and trained on certification requirements and procedures. The structure of the ENplus® and BIOmasud® systems was another key topic, providing attendees with a clear understanding of the requirements and benefits of these programs.
The course included a practical part, essential to consolidate theoretical knowledge. Anabel Ruiz y Antía Blanco, From the Analysis and Testing Laboratory (LAE) department of CARTIF, participants were guided through theoretical and practical sampling and self-inspection exercises. This hands-on session enabled attendees to learn how to perform critical parameter analyses that are subsequently used in the self-inspection systems required for certifications.
Pablo Rodero, The certification manager at AVEBIOM emphasized the importance of this ongoing training for all companies that have implemented ENplus® or BIOmasud®. These quality systems require training every certification cycle (3 years for ENplus® and 5 years for BIOmasud®). This requirement ensures that companies stay up-to-date with the latest standards and best practices.
Benefits for certified companies
The certified companies that attended the course found the training extremely useful. The opportunity to speak directly with the organizations that manage their certification and to resolve any doubts in person was highly valued. Furthermore, the exchange of experiences and knowledge among industry professionals enriched the training.
