The new Board of Directors will be composed of, in addition to Luis Navedo (NORTEGÁS) as president, the following: Ana Castelblanque (MOEVE) as general secretary; Joan Plana (NEDGIA) and Miguel Mayrata (REDEXIS) as vice presidents; Sergio Fernández (SUM CAPITAL) as treasurer; and the members Baptiste Usquin (WAGA ENERGY), Oscar Maciñeiras (ENCE BIOGAS) and Íñigo Palacio (GENIA BIOENERGY). In this new phase, the association will focus its work on contributing to the orderly development of the sector, promoting a stable regulatory framework, streamlined project processing, and recognition of the role of biogas in the valorization of organic waste and in the production of manageable renewable energy. Attention will also be paid to the regulatory framework for digestate as an organic fertilizer and the need for economic instruments to facilitate investment.
Luis Navedo holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oviedo and a Master's degree in Renewable Energies. He was a founding member of the organization in 2009 and has over twenty years of experience in the development of biogas projects in Spain, Central Europe, and Latin America.
