Established at the end of 2021 and integrated into the regional cluster network, PTEBi currently brings together 38 partners, including forestry and forest harvesting companies, machinery manufacturers, knowledge centers and services linked to the entire biomass value chain.
Its purpose is to create a collaborative ecosystem that connects companies, technology centers, training entities and sector associations, from sustainable forest management to the energy valorization of biomass resources, strengthening competitiveness and innovation in the territory.
In addition to its work representing and coordinating strategic proposals for the sector in Asturias, PTEBi develops training actions, promotes forestry culture, social commitment and environmental sustainability, contributing to making visible the economic and energy potential of biomass.
“Hands-on Biomass”, a podcast about technical and sectoral information
Among its initiatives, the podcast stands out. “With our hands in the biomass”, aimed at disseminating knowledge and experiences from the forestry and bioenergy sectors.
The first episodes have featured the participation of Javier Vigil Fabián, Director General of Forest Management of the Principality of Asturias, and Asunción Cámara Obregón, Professor of Agroforestry Engineering at the University of Oviedo.
The program addresses key issues such as sustainable forest management, technological innovation, training, employment and business opportunities linked to biomass, with episodes available on the PTEBi website and YouTube channel.
With this addition, AVEBIOM strengthens its territorial collaboration network and joint work with regional clusters to continue promoting bioenergy as an engine of economic development, active forest management and energy transition in Spain.
