During the webinar, Patrick Bergman, Yilkins' CTO, and Chippla Vandu, Senior Engineers from Shell Catalysts & Technologies will explain how to combine Shell's expertise in gasification and Fischer-Tropsch technologies with advanced technology drying and roasting Yilkins' technology allows for improved biomass utilization in SAF production. This integration can increase fuel production per ton of renewable hydrogen and help reduce the size and cost of electrolyzers.
The webinar will also explain the logic behind the route BTL/PTL, This process integrates the conversion of biomass into liquid fuels (Biomass-to-Liquids) with the use of renewable hydrogen for the production of synthetic fuels (Power-to-Liquids). This combination allows for better utilization of the carbon contained in biomass and optimizes the use of renewable hydrogen, with the aim of increasing the final production of synthetic fuels and improving the technical and economic viability of these routes.
