El Mapa de los biocombustibles sólidos 2020 elaborado por AVEBIOM muestra de forma gráfica y en tablas 169 fábricas de pellet, astilla y hueso de aceituna inventariadas en España y 59 en Portugal en el último año, junto con las 32 plantas de pellet de Chile, Argentina y Uruguay.

Fábricas de pellets

El mapa recoge un total de 83 fábricas de pellets activas durante el último año en España, una más que en el inventario de abril de 2019 y el mismo número que en 2018. En Portugal, este año se han inventariado 3 nuevas plantas, una de ellas de pellet torrefactado, y un cierre. En Chile, el mapa de 2020 se actualiza de 16 a 22 plantas en operación, mientras que en Argentina aparece una nueva planta.

Plantas de astilla y hueso de aceituna

En cuanto a las plantas de producción de astilla, AVEBIOM ha inventariado 61 plantas en España, 4 más que en 2019. Seis nuevos centros comienzan a producir y dos cierran. Por primera vez, el mapa incluye fabricantes de astilla y hueso de Portugal, en total 31 centros.
