Es la actualización del Estudio Ambiental Estratégico del PNIEC, que incorpora las indicaciones establecidas en el Documento de Alcance emitido por la Dirección General de Calidad y Evaluación Ambiental en 2024.
Las modificaciones que se quieren introducir intensifican la ambición climática para proteger el medio ambiente a través de un refuerzo de muchos de los objetivos, lo que se traduce en una mayor penetración de las tecnologías renovables y el incremento de la eficiencia energética.
