El objetivo del foro fue compartir conocimientos e intercambiar experiencias prácticas y asesoramiento en materia de bioenergía para municipios. Se abordaron soluciones eficaces y reales aplicadas a políticas energéticas, medioambientales y de desarrollo urbano para contribuir a la sostenibilidad de los municipios.

Este foro organizado en el marco de Expobioenergía’08 se celebró en Valladolid el 17 de octubre de 2008. Asistieron 59 miembros de corporaciones locales, técnicos de la administración local y profesionales, y una vez finalizado el foro realizaron una visita guiada por la feria tecnológica especializada más importante del sector.

El foro contó con el patrocinio de la Junta de Castilla y León, Valoriza Energía e I.D.A.E., y fue inaugurada por Tomás Villanueva, Consejero de Economía y Empleo de la Junta de Castilla y León.
