Coincidiendo con Expobioenergía, se celebraron en Valladolid tres jornadas los días 18, 19 y 20 de octubre de 2011. Todas ellas con el fin de conocer las experiencias reales llevadas a cabo por un nutrido grupo de municipios y Diputaciones, sobre aspectos concretos de la implementación del uso de la biomasa. También se pudo contrastar cómo se generaron sinergias socio-económicas y medioambientales en el entorno local, tras la puesta en funcionamiento de dichas iniciativas.

Sin lugar a dudas, fueron unas jornadas muy fructíferas para recoger ideas y madurar proyectos, que a posteriori mejoraron la economía municipal de muchos Ayuntamientos (reducción del gasto corriente energético), se creó empleo local y por supuesto, potenció el compromiso medioambiental de las entidades locales.

La asistencia fue muy alta, 384 participantes de 16 comunidades autónomas destacando la presencia de Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha y la Comunidad Valenciana. Entre los que se contó con la presencia de miembros de las corporaciones de 155 Ayuntamientos y 2 Concellos, de 6 Diputaciones provinciales, 1 Consell Comarcal y 4 Mancomunidades. Así como miembros de Grupos de Desarrollo Rural.

Las jornadas, organizadas por AVEBIOM y Cesefor, contaron con la presencia de Juan Vicente Herrera, Presidente de la Comunidad Autónoma de Castilla y León, Antonio Silván, Consejero de Fomento y Medio Ambiente y Silvia Clemente, Consejera de Agricultura.
