El objetivo general del proyecto ENERBIOSCRUB «Gestión sostenible de formaciones arbustivas para uso energético», que se ha iniciado el 1 de junio de 2014 y concluirá en diciembre de 2017, tiene como objetivo reducir los riesgos de incendios forestales mediante la extracción sostenible de biomasa de matorrales inflamables y convertirla en biocombustibles sólidos.

Se evaluarán métodos innovadores para la recolección de la biomasa y su transformación en biocombustibles que serán utilizados en aplicaciones energéticas residenciales e industriales, actualmente operativas en Castilla y León y Galicia
