Given the need to strengthen the commitment of the biomass and forestry sector to the environment and sustainability, BIOECO2 and the Galician Biomass Cluster are organizing a webinar on November 8th about the voluntary biomass sustainability certification system., SURE.
Taking care of this aspect is of great importance to strengthen the sector and increase the quality of resources and the overall competitiveness of the companies that make up the industry.
The webinar will offer an overview of the current state of bioenergy in Galicia, explain the implications of the European REDII directive, and describe what the SURE sustainability certification consists of and the requirements to obtain it.
The presentations will be given by technicians from the Galicia Biomass Cluster, AVEBIOM, SURE and CGN Certificación.
The organization provides translation services for presentations in English.
AVEBIOM is the national support organization in Spain. Its tasks include supporting SURE on regional legal issues and organizing workshops and information events to explain the requirements and approaches of the SURE system to all stakeholders in the bioenergy value chain.
